BELIEF STATEMENT
Affirmation of Faith:
We believe in One Triune God who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things and the Sustainer of Life.
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He was born to the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. He truly lived a sinless life, suffered under Pontius Pilate, and died on the cross for the sins of the world. He rose from the dead on the third day with all power in His hands. He shall return to earth to judge the wicked and receive the righteous unto Himself.
The Holy Bible is the Word of God given to us by the inspiration and oversight of the Holy Spirit. It has the authority to teach, lead, convict, and inspire.
The Holy Bible teaches us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of His salvation.
God has extended salvation to everyone through the person of Jesus Christ. Anyone can receive this great gift through repentance and faith by God’s grace alone.
Everyone who receives the gift of salvation should be baptized with water and the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of God and a public testimony of our faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism of the Spirit is the endowment of God’s power that enables believers to live godly lives and effectively carry out the work of The Church. This experience is initially evidenced by speaking in other tongues and is subsequent to a clean heart.
The Church, also known as the Bride of Christ, is made up of all people who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. God has provided for her healing for the mind, body, and spirit by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. She must be holy, exercise the various gifts of the Holy Spirit, lay hands, cast out devils, make disciples, observe Holy Communion accompanied with Feet Washing, and maintain fellowship and maturity amongst the saints.
And this we will do, if God permits, as we set this city on fire.
